English Classes in Brazil
Volunteers are needed to meet with online English classes in Brazil. Volunteers converse with English learners and participate in classes taught by a Brazilian teacher. Scheduling options include participation in one class for one month, multiple classes in the same month, one class for multiple months, or any combination of options.
Students in China
Volunteers are matched with students in China for conversation practice and/or academic English support. Scheduling is determined collaboratively by the volunteer and student.
Conversation Partnerships in Israel
Through Project Language Bridge, developed in collaboration with P3 Israel, volunteers are matched with one to three conversation partners in Israel for weekly meetings online.
Community Center partnerships – Volunteers meet with one to three community center participants for conversation practice. Ideas for conversation topics are provided. Conversation groups meet weekly for a specified time period, usually six weeks.
Kivunim / House of Wheels partnership – Volunteers meet with one to three young adults with physical challenges in order to provide English practice and support. Ideas for conversation topics are provided. Conversation groups meet weekly for a specified time period.
Academic English in Mongolia
An opportunity is being developed in which specially trained volunteers will be matched with students in Mongolia for academic English support and preparation for testing. Contact info@theedgeinstitute.org for more information about this unique upcoming opportunity.
