This workshop will include 12 hours of training as an English as a Second Language (ESL) instructor using the manual, ‘Teaching English Language Learners the Good News’.
Workshop topics include: * Principles of learning and teaching a language * Organizing your ESL classes * Lesson planning for ESL classes * Practices for introducing vocabulary and teaching pronunciation * Practices for providing communication practice * Dealing with cultural differences
Session Dates:
* Part 1: Guided online study units – October 12-November 8, 2026 During this portion of the workshop, participants will complete online assignments with feedback from the workshop facilitator.
* Part 2: Online face-to-face session – Saturday, Nov 21, 2026 at 10:00 am to 4:30 pm Completion of the Part 1 online assignments is required in order to participate in the online face-to-face session.
Cost: $50
Please note that this cost does not include the manual, which is available free as a PDF or can be purchased at a reasonable cost during registration.
